TULSA, Okla. u2015 Following a two-week hiatus, the Tulsa women's tennis team returned to the courts to open American Athletic Conference play on the plus side following a 6-1 victory over Tulane. Tulsa improves to 6-1 on the season, 1-0 in AAC play while Tulane drops to 3-2 overall, 0-1 in conference play. The win marked the fifth-straight victory at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center for the Golden Hurricane.
"It was a good, tight match, much tighter than the score indicated for sure," head coach Dean Orford said. "We missed a competition last week due to weather, so with two weeks off it took us a little to get going, but once we did, I'm proud of what the girls did and their reaction to it.
