The Tulsa rowing team claimed the Lawless Cup and earned four first-place finishes over Creighton on Saturday morning at the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest in Catoosa, Okla. Oklahoma was scheduled to compete in the regatta, but were not able to due to illness.
"We are always happy to have Creighton come out for a race, and today was especially great due to the tight racing in each event," Interim Head Coach Oliva Staff said. "We were able to get all of our athletes a race and we saw improvements from each of our crews. Our 3rd Varsity 8+ had the tightest and closest racing of the day, giving good experience to members of our team that will make a big impact in years to come.
