Kendrian Elliott, Alexis Gaulden and Rebecca Lescay all scored in double figures to lead Tulsa to a 67-62 win over Wichita State in the American Athletic Conference opener on Saturday afternoon at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kan. TU moved to 7-7 on the season and 1-0 in The American, while WSU fell to 5-10 overall and 0-1 in the league.
"We'll take the win, especially on the road," Head Coach Matilda Mossman said. "We had a 16-point lead and Wichita didn't' quit. Rebecca came to the rescue off the bench and got her career high and shot a good percentage.
