TULSA, Okla. — The American Athletic Conference's defending champions got back on the basketball court yesterday to begin preparations for the 2020-21 season. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane men's basketball team's first practice of its 110th year of basketball took place on Wednesday afternoon at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
Head coach Frank Haith, who is in his seventh season at TU, welcomes back five letterwinners and three starters from last year's AAC Champions. Tulsa is led by senior Brandon Rachal, who averaged 12.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals in helping Tulsa compile a 21-10 record.
