Tony Liscio, a former Tulsa football lineman and class of 2004 inductee into the TU Athletic Hall of Fame, died at the age of 76 Sunday after suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
A Pittsburgh, Pa. native, Liscio was a three-year letterwinner and two-way starting tackle at Tulsa. He was a first-team all-Missouri Valley Conference as a senior and was selected to play in the College All-Star game against the NFL.
At 6-foot-5 and 255 pounds, Liscio played left tackle and guard for the Dallas Cowboys after being drafted by the Green Bay Packers with the 42nd overall pick in 1963.
