TULSA, Okla. –– University of Tulsa junior running back Shamari Brooks was named to the American Athletic Conference's weekly honor roll for his performance this past weekend.
Brooks, from Tulsa's Union High School, rushed for a season-high 156 yards and one touchdown in a 42-41 loss against 25th-ranked Memphis on Saturday. Brooks' touchdown run went for 40 yards in a 17-point second quarter for the Hurricane.
It's the second honor roll mention for Brooks this season, as the other came following a 140-yard rushing performance against San Jose State.
