Former Tulsa track athlete Bryce Robinson turned in a time of 21.18 for a 34th-place finish in the first round of the 200 meters at the U.S. Olympic Trials on Thursday evening at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Robinson's time wasn't enough to advance to the semifinal round.
Tulsa has two current runners participating in the Canadian Championships, Friday-Sunday, July 8-10, in Edmonton, Alberta. Ben Preisner, who will be a junior in the fall at Tulsa, will run on Saturday (July 9) in the Canadian Championship finals of the 3,000m steeplechase for a spot on the Canadian Olympic team.
