TULSA, Okla. - Sophomore Kody Pearson and freshman Juan Pablo Cenoz tested the No. 30 doubles team in the country on Monday, as the Tulsa men's tennis team started singles and doubles qualifying draws. The Michael D. Case Tennis Center is playing host to the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships.
After defeating Austin Abbrat and Guido Marson of Texas A&M 7-6, 2-6, 10-8, the Golden Hurricane tandem took 30th-ranked Oscar Cutting and David Stevenson the distance in the second round of the doubles qualifying draw.
After falling in the first set 6-4, Pearson and Cenoz continued to trade games with the Tigers in the second set.
