TULSA, Okla. – Wichita State scored all four of its runs over the final three innings and rode a one-hitter from Erin McDonald to defeat No. 25 Tulsa, 4-0, on Friday night to open a three-game American Athletic Conference series at the Collins Family Softball Complex.
Mikayla Whitten had the only hit of the night for the Golden Hurricane (31-16, 12-4), with a two-out single in the fifth inning. Kassidy Scott did not allow a hit until the fourth but fell to 8-5 on the season after she allowed four runs on six hits through 5.
