SMU can clinch a share of the American Athletic Conference title on Thursday, but it will have to do something that's proven remarkably difficult in recent years: beat Tulsa at home.
The No. 14 Mustangs (25-4, 15-1) have lost to Tulsa (14-14, 8-8) four of the last five times they've played in Dallas.
That includes last season's 82-77 Tulsa win on Feb. 10, 2016 at SMU's Moody Coliseum, the last time the Mustangs lost at home. SMU has since won 20 in a row at Moody, including a 16-0 home mark this year.
"We played great in that building last year," Golden Hurricane coach Frank Haith told the Tulsa World.
