PALO ALTO, Calif. – Michael Power tallied a top-5 finish in the 5,000-meter invite as the Tulsa track and field had seven runners competing today during the opening day of the Stanford Invitational. The Stanford Invitational, which has 71 schools competing, will run through tomorrow evening, but Tulsa completed all its events tonight.
The Hurricane had runners in four different events, with Power highlighting the night with a 5th place finish in the 5,000-meter invite at 13:29.57. Isaac Akers finished behind him in seventh at 13:32.84.
Tulsa had three runners in the 10,000-meter run invite, which is 25 laps around the track.
