TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Golden Hurricane softball program added third baseman Claira Skaggs to its 2021 class, it was announced today by head softball coach Crissy Strimple.
Skaggs, a 5-6 infielder, was a four-year starter at Westmoore High School in Oklahoma City, Okla. In her four seasons at Westmoore she led the Jaguars to a 113-39 record. She lead Westmoore to a state championship her sophomore season, as well as a regional championship her junior campaign.
"We are excited to welcome Claira to Tulsa and our softball program. Our goal is to bring in student athletes who will succeed both in the classroom and on the field, which we feel Claira will do," said Strimple, "Claira, an Oklahoma talent, brings a strong left-handed bat that can hit for power and average to our team.
