TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Tulsa Softball had two comeback efforts fall just short on Friday afternoon at the Hillenbrand Invitational as they fell to Fordham 7-6 and Northwestern 3-2. The Hurricane (0-2 overall) out-hit their opponents in both games on the day, but left 15 runners stranded in the doubleheader.
Fordham (2-1 overall) picked up a pair of runs on a home run in the top of the first inning after a leadoff walk to take a 2-0 lead.
