TULSA, Okla. -- Members of the Tulsa women's tennis team competed in the singles and doubles qualifying draws on Monday at the Saint Francis Health System ITA Women's All-American Championships. The women's qualifying draws are being played at the Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park.
Junior Shura Poppe and sophomore Marina Davtyan both saw their first glimpse of tournament action in singles play.
Davtyan faced William & Mary senior Natalia Perry. The two were neck-and-neck in the first set, with the upperclassman holding on, 7-6. Perry would carry the momentum into the second set and won, 6-2.
