COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Tulsa women's tennis team opened their fall slate on Friday morning winning seven matches at the Mizzou Invite. The three-day invitational, hosted by Missouri, also features Houston and SMU and is being held at the Mizzou Tennis Complex.
In singles play, the Golden Hurricane captured five wins against SMU. No. 73 Martina Okalova got TU rolling with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Sarai Monarrez Yesaki at No. 1 singles. Junior Shura Poppe picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles vs. Nicole Petchey. At No. 4 singles, Marina Davtyan defeated Tiffany Hollebeck 6-0, 6-1.
