BEAUMONT, Texas – The University of Tulsa Softball team drove in runs early in both matchups on day one of the Cardinal Classic, plating eight in the opening frame against Alabama A&M in an 11-1 win before scoring two in the first in a wire-to-wire 5-2 win over McNeese State. Junior pitcher Emily Watson tossed 6.0 innings of one-hit softball in game two while striking out a season-high 10 batters.
