PITTSBURG, Kan. — The University of Tulsa track and field squad notched another strong performance in the indoor season on Saturday, picking up six event wins at the Pittsburg State Invitational.
Tulsa would make its biggest splash in the 3,000 meters, as Scott Beattie managed a 8:13.17 to set the meet record, along with picking up first-place overall for TU. On the women's side, Caitlin Klopfer would set a personal-best time of 9:39.53 for third overall.
Klopfer was one of four athletes to break the meet record in the women's race, along with setting the sixth-fastest time in school history in the event.
