76ers trade former No. 1 pick Markelle Fultz to Magic

The Philadelphia 76ers are trading 2017 No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz to the Orlando Magic, a league sources tell ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Magic are sending forward Jonathon Simmons, a first-round and a second-round pick to the Sixers, sources told ESPN.

Fultz last played in a game on Nov. 19 and has been sidelined since after being diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome.

Fultz's agent, Raymond Brothers, had told ESPN at Christmas that his client is progressing well in rehabilitation on his right shoulder and expects Fultz to return to the team this season.
