Willie Fritz on Tulane's recruiting class: 'We needed a big class this year'

When Tulane ended the 2016 season, the coaching staff knew that it was facing a daunting task as it headed out on the recruiting trail.

The Green Wave just finished its third consecutive season with four wins or less and needed to fill out the depth chart in several areas after competing with one of the smallest rosters in Division I football.

Tulane unveiled its 27-man recruiting class for the 2017 season--which includes transfrers Corey Dauphine and Hunter Knighton--at the school on Wednesday and coach Willie Fritz says he believes the team found a way to add a large group of players that he considers "legit Division I players".
