No. 20 ranked Tulane first faced off against No. 23 Arizona in a close game. Starting pitcher Corey Merrill had career-high 12 strikeouts with the Wave ultimately winning 11-10.
There were seven lead changes in the game, leaving fans on the edge of their seats. At the bottom of the eighth, the game was tied at 10 but Jake Willsey hit a solo shot over right-field wall solidifying a win for Tulane.
