It was just a matter of time before offers started rolling in for the Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year, Lindsey Scott Jr.
Maryland is the latest program to extend an overture to the dynamic quarterback, joining a growing list of schools trying to lure the two-time Louisiana 5A offensive MVP. Maryland is expecting to lose a commitment from quarterback Dwayne Haskins, opening the door for Scott.
Rutgers extended an offer to Scott last week, after learning that their quarterback commitment, Pennsylvania's Anthony Russo, was entertaining other programs, leading to a decommitment. Oklahoma State has also expressed interest in Scott Jr.
