UConn’s senior forward Breanna Stewart led the way for the Huskies, scoring 20 points off seven of eight shooting from the floor, tallying seven assists. Senior guard Moriah Jefferson also set the pace scoring 16 points off seven of 11 shooting, notching six assists and forcing six steals.
The Green Wave had no answer for UConn the entire game, as the Huskies forced 26 turnovers, scoring 41 of its 90 points off of turnovers.
"When we come out and shoot the ball the way we shot it in the first 10 minutes, it’s really hard for the other team [to keep up]," UConn head coach Geno Auriemma.
