Tulane finished with the second-highest rushing total in school history (2,737) during Fritz's first season, and the Green Wave offense still believes it can make major improvements on the ground this year. Senior running backs Dontrell Hilliard and Sherman Badie return as the most experienced members of the Green Wave backfield, but Fritz's run-heavy offense demands more than just two players getting the bulk of the carries.
Sophomore Darius Bradwell made the move from quarterback to running back late last season and he has enough size and speed to become a dangerous runner. Freshman Stephon Huderson came in as an early-enrollee and Fritz praised the growth the Mississippi native showed by the end of spring camp.
