Tulane fans are not the only ones eager to open the season Saturday night against Grambling State at Yulman Stadium.
"We've had a very good camp; it's been a long camp," Tulane coach Willie Fritz said. "We reported on July 30. First practice was July 31. I think we've done a good job of taking some time off and making sure we didn't overkill. Sometimes you can prepare too much, and everyone's minds get cluttered."
There's a lot of focus on the school's first-ever meeting on the gridiron, especially on the Tigers' potent offense.
