For the second-straight year, Tulane senior Marshall Wadleigh has been named to the Wuerffel Trophy Watch List.
The award is presented annually to the FBS player that best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.
The Pearl River native is a three-year letterman who has played in 37 games, primarily on special teams. He rushed twice for 26 yards in 2016, and has accumulated 14 tackles (13 solo, 1 assist) over the course of his career. Wadleigh made the move to tight end during spring camp.
Nominations for the Wuerffel Trophy are made by the respective universities' Sports Information departments and will close on Oct.
