Tulane's Lex Kaplan is named AAC Player of the Week

Tulane senior outfielder Lex Kaplan has been named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week after tallying nine hits in the series at Memphis, the league office announced Monday.

Kaplan recorded three hits in each game, compiling a .600 batting average for the weekend to lead the Green Wave to a series win. He led off the game on both Friday and Saturday with a home run, and added four doubles and scored six runs. In all, six of his nine hits went for extra bases, and he slugged at a 1.267 clip.
