With No. 4 Ohio State in the rearview, Tulane turned its focus to opening American Athletic Conference play Friday against a one-loss Memphis team.
"In the locker room, we're all talking about needing a win," Tulane junior running back Darius Bradwell said. "That's our mentality. We know this is an important game to start off the conference. That's the energy that we have. On Friday, we're going to come out starting off fast."
Sitting at 1-3 overall, Friday's game takes on added importance as the Green Wave needs at least five conference victories to qualify for a bowl game.
