Tulane picked up its fourth win in its last five games Tuesday night when the Green Wave pummeled McNeese State early en route to a 10-2 win at Turchin Stadium.
Grant Witherspoon reached base on a walk and was crossing homeplate the very next at-bat as Hunter Williams doubled deep to right-center that set the Green Wave up with a 1-0 lead.
Jarret DeHart then singled right past the first baseman to advance Williams to third. With one out Sal Gozzo appeared to ground into a double play but McNeese first baseman Mitchell Rogers was unable to corral the the throw allowing Williams to score on the fielder's choice.
