Tulane S Rod Teamer switches to jersey No. 2 in hopes of starting new tradition

Nico Marley wanted to wear the No. 2 jersey from the day he arrived at Tulane, but he had to wait until his senior year before he could finally make the switch.

Marley said No. 2, which is the same number his father wore when he played in college, has special meaning for him and now he wants it to have the same meaning for everyone else at Tulane.

"I was asking (former Tulane safety Darion Monroe) for that No. 2 since freshman year," Marley said. "It's just a number but it has a big meaning.
