only had two players from the state of Louisiana as a part of its 2017 signing class, but second-year coach Willie Fritz and his staff have been working diligently to improve their standing with local recruits in the 2018 and 2019 classes.
Fritz has made an effort to invite high school recruits and coaching staffs from Louisiana and surrounding states to visit the Green Wave's spring practices over the past month to see how the team works and show just how much he wants to make recruiting locally a much bigger priority going forward.
