Tulane and the University of Louisiana-Lafayette went back and forth in a historic four overtime battle that eventually ended with the Green Wave pulling out a 41-39 win at Yulman Stadium on Saturday night.
Tulane (2-2), playing in a four overtime game for the first time in school history, grabbed the lead in the fourth overtime when quarterback Glen Cuiellette found Terren Encalade for a seven-yard touchdown pass and connected on the ensuing two-point conversion.
Lousiana-Lafayette (2-2) scored on a 22-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Anthony Jennings to running back Elijah McGuire, but the Ragin' Cajuns failed to convert on the two-point conversion, giving Tulane the win.
