When Tulane cornerback Parry Nickerson muffed Houston's first punt of the game in last week's 30-18 loss, it was disastrous in more ways than one.
The Cougars recovered the loose ball in the endzone for a touchdown to take an early 7-0 over the Green Wave (3-7, 0-6 in American Athletic Conference), and while attempting to recover the fumble, Nickerson landed awkwardly and suffered an arm injury that forced him out of the game.
Nickerson has been wearing a brace on his left arm ever since his injury and it is unlikely he'll be able to play in the Green Wave's final home game of the season on Saturday against Temple (7-3, 5-1 in AAC).
