Tulane pitcher J.P. France threw a career-high 8.1 innings and the Green Wave held on late to come away with a 4-3 win over USF at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
After beating the Bulls 6-4 on Friday, the Green Wave clinch the series victory and open American Athletic Conference play with two victories over a Bulls team that came into the weekend with only three losses all season.
FRANCE BIG DAY ON THE MOUND
France has been inconsistent at times during this season, but he put together arguably his best start of the season on Saturday in a game that his team needed that type of performance from him.
