Tulane knows that it will take nearly a miracle in order to defend its American Athletic Conference regular-season title from last year, but that doesn't mean that the team won't have any motivation as the season winds to an end.
The Green Wave (25-28) came away with an 8-6 victory over crosstown rival UNO (25-25-1) in their final home game of the season at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium, and Tulane is hoping to build on the victory as it heads into the final conference series of the weekend.
The Green Wave are especially optimistic after the 12-hit performance the team put forward in the win, which included eight of the team's nine starters coming away with at least one hit.
