Tulane hope to slow down 'explosive' Memphis offense

Tulane has been able to fight its way through some low-scoring slugfests in the first five games of the season, but it will probably have to find a different way to win on Friday night.

The Green Wave (3-2, 0-1 in the American Athletic Conference) will be hosting a Memphis team that has one of the most potent offenses in the nation that may be the biggest test the Tulane defense has had to face so far this year.

"They can really throw the ball around," said Tulane coach Willie Fritz. "They've done an excellent job of recruiting and they run real well.
