Tulane gets swept by San Diego, falls to 3-12 on the year

Ross Massey was solid for 7 innings, but Tulane baseball mustered two runs and five hits in a 6-2 defeat to San Diego Sunday afternoon to close out the four-game series at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.

Massey struck out six and allowed two earned runs, four runs in total, scattering seven hits and just two walks. He was saddled with the loss to fall to 0-3 on the season as the Green Wave fell to 3-12.

Redshirt freshman Jonathon Artigues, who received his first start behind the plate, went 2-for-2 with a walk in three plate appearances.
