football program posted an Academic Progress Rate score of 967 for the 2015-16 academic year, which continued a slight decrease in the school's score over each of the past three years, according to data released by the NCAA on Wednesday.
Tulane's score ranks sixth among American Athletic Conference schools and the school's score went from 972 in 2013-14 to 970 in 2014-15 and dropped three more points after last year.
The APR calculates the academic progress of student-athletes towards graduation and all teams must earn a multiyear score of 930 to avoid penalties from the NCAA, including scholarship reductions and reduced practice time.
