Tulane baseball dropped its American Athletic Conference series finale against UCF, 11-1, Sunday afternoon at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
Grant Brown homered in the second inning to score the only run for the Green Wave, which fell to 23-26 overall and 10-8 in conference play. Sam Bjorngjeld (3-4) took the loss, while Joseph Sheridan (9-3) earned the win for the Knights (33-15, 11-7 American).
Tulane responded to UCF's two-run second inning with a run in the bottom of the frame on Brown's opposite field home run to right. It was his fourth homer of the season, and the fifth hit of the weekend.
