The American Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday that Tulane forward Cameron Reynolds is the 2016-17 Most Improved Player of the Year in the AAC, following a vote by the 11 head coaches in the league.
"I can't say I'm surprised Cameron won this award," Tulane coach Mike Dunleavy said in a statement released by the school. "It is well-deserved by him because he's put in so much extra work since my arrival at Tulane. We were able to adjust his role and put him in situations where he can be successful and his response has been everything we could have hoped for.
