First-year Tulane basketball coach Mike Dunleavy hasn't spent much time looking into what the Green Wave did during the 2015-16 season, but it didn't take very much evaluation for him to realize turnovers were a major problem for the team.
The Green Wave finished with the second fewest assists per game (10.9) in the American Athletic Conference last season and tied for the second most turnovers per game (13.3) in the conference on the way to a 13-21 season.
"The first thing we want to emphasize is getting good shots and taking good shots," Dunleavy said. "We need to take care of the ball and not turn it over.
