Tulane baseball team picked 3rd in preseason AAC poll, three players named all-conference

The Tulane baseball team was chosen to finish in third place in this season's preseason All-American Athletic Conference preseason poll, which was released on Wednesday, and also had three players chosen to the all-conference team.

The poll, which was voted on by coaches from the conference, named first baseman Hunter Williams, second baseman Jake Willsey and pitcher Ross Massey as members of the preseason All-AAC team.

The Green Wave received one first-place and finished with 35 points, behind Houston (42) and preseason favorite East Carolina (48), who received six first-place votes.

Tulane finished last season with a 41-21 record and won its first regular-season conference championship since 2005.
