For the 11th time this season, No. 16 Tulane baseball shut out an opponent, as the Green Wave defeated USF, 4-0, at the USF Baseball Stadium on Sunday to complete the series-sweep of the Bulls.
How It Was Won: Tulane (31-14, 11-5) scored three times in the top of the second on an RBI-single by Jake Willsey, an RBI-triple by Jarret DeHart and an RBI-single from Stephen Alemais. Green Wave starting pitcher Alex Massey held USF (21-26, 6-12) off the board over 7.0 innings while fanning eight, and relief pitchers Sam Bjorngjeld and Patrick Duester completed the shut out.
