NEW ORLEANS -- Jahmal McMurray scored 23 points and South Florida used 11 blocked shots to shut down Tulane for a 73-60 victory Wednesday night.
Tulane took the lead right off the bat when Dylan Osetkowski drilled a 3-pointer 10 seconds into the contest and he gave the Green Wave a 14-10 lead on a layup. But South Florida answered with a 10-0 run and led by eight at intermission.
Jaleel Cousins and Ruben Guerrero each collected five blocked shots for the Bulls (5-17, 2-7 American). Cousins finished with 17 points and nine rebounds and Angel Nunez added 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
