Saints release former Tulane standout Royce LaFrance from practice squad

The New Orleans Saints released former Tulane defensive end Royce LaFrance from the practice squad, according to the NFL transaction wire Tuesday.

The release came on the same day the team added former LSU linebacker Lamar Louis to the practice squad. Louis posted to Instagram a message about his signing, which was listed on the NFL transaction wire.

LaFrance, who ranked third in Tulane history in sacks with 20 and fourth in tackles for loss with 37, joined the practice squad Oct. 19.

LaFrance previously spent time with the Saints for a pair of offseason tryouts, first during the three-day rookie minicamp in May, and then the mandatory veteran minicamp in June.
