Former Tulane safety Darion Monroe will be among the players attending the New Orleans Saints' rookie minicamp this weekend, according to a source.
Monroe started 48 games with the Green Wave from 2012 to 2015 and, while he wasn't given an opportunity to attend any rookie minicamps last year following his senior season, the former East St. John standout has continued to work out in hopes of getting a chance to live out his dream of playing in the NFL.
While at Tulane, Monroe recorded 333 tackles (22 for loss), 4.5 sacks, six interceptions, 11 pass breakups and he holds the school record with eight career fumble recoveries.
