Rummel WR Ja'Marr Chase is a name to remember for 2018

Rummel became a state power behind a strong defense and physical running game, but 2018 wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase may force head coach Jay Roth to change his game plan a bit.

Chase, a 6-1, 190-pound junior, is one of the state's top receiver prospects in the 2018 class and got off to a fast start this weekend against University High in the Raiders season opener. Chase finished with four catches for 226 yards and four scores, breaking two school records for yards and touchdowns in the 28-14 victory.

Chase reeled in offers from Ole Miss, TCU, Kansas and Memphis, among many others, following a strong spring and summer camp tour.
