The New Orleans Pelicans announced on Sunday that the team has waived guard Reggie Williams from the roster.
Williams, a 7-year veteran, averaged 5.0 points and 1.2 rebounds in five games with the Pelicans this season.
Williams was brought in to give the Pelicans depth on the wing when injuries began to pile up earlier in the season. His brightest moment with the team came in his second game with New Orleans when he scored 17 points in the team's 120-119 win over the Phoenix Suns on Dec. 11.
With the Pelicans getting some players back from injury recently, Williams hadn't played in the past six games.
