New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis went to down with a back injury as his team trailed by one point in the third quarter of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, but he knew he needed to come back to give his team a chance to win.
After a quick trip to the locker room, Davis walked onto the court so he could check back into the game but he struggled to believe what he saw when he looked up at the scoreboard.
In five minutes of game action without the star forward, The Pelicans' deficit ballooned from 63-62 to 77-62 and they were well on their way to adding another loss to the team's disappointing 1-9 start to the season.
