The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club held the first of its weekly luncheons Tuesday with representatives from LSU, Tulane and local high schools on hand, but it was the New Orleans Saints -- with owners Tom and Gayle Benson also in attendance -- who drew most attention.
"I've been at two different schools, I've never had an NFL franchise in the city that I'm coaching," first-year Tulane football coach Willie Fritz said to the luncheon crowd at The Cannery. "They have been unbelievable to work with, allowing us to go out and work in their practice facility.
