Miller scores 18; UConn beats cold-shooting Tulane 60-42

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Connecticut has played nine straight games without 7-foot center Amida Brimah because of his broken finger, but that has not stopped its defense.

Shonn Miller scored 18 points and Connecticut rolled to a 60-42 victory over Tulane on Tuesday night.

It was the fewest points the Huskies (13-5, 4-2 American) have given up since beating Sacred Heart 92-49 on Dec. 2. They held Tulane (8-12, 1-6) to 14-of-54 shooting for 26 percent from the field, and forced 16 turnovers.

The defense was outstanding again," Connecticut coach Kevin Ollie said.
